The Goodwins

As a mom these days my prayers are simple… let Ella loose the bubbles and let Justice keep his blue eyes!

Well, the bubble days in our house are on a final count down to removal on April 27th, and Justice is cute as a bug with his blue eyes… but I expect they may turn brown all too soon. Ella’s were the same deep steel blue for almost a year before she got her beautiful brown peepers!

So I accept the things I can’t control and I cheer for the things that I can. We’ve showered Ella with love and support over the last few months and while we are  all ready to be DONE with the bubbles she has been such a brave little trooper. She inspires us all with her bright eyes and loving smile! And through it all she has been an amazing big sister – she has so much joy over her little brother being in our family that it is truly a blessing!

We all need a fun stress free summer, and soon I hope that is all that will be on our horizon for a little while!

Justice Finds Sleep At The End Of His Third Day

Bonnie’s blood count is still low and actually decreasing a bit. The doctors still think she’ll be able to leave Saturday without having a transfusion. Bonnie has been having plenty of iron supplement and food with iron in it to attempt to help increase her hemoglobin.

On a lighter note, Grandpa (Bonnie’s dad) actually scored some time with his newest grandson.

Some new pictures are up at Justice’s Third Day, and I added some more to his second day ones.

Bonnie has been moved to room 395. It’s twice the size which is nice for visitation. Her new room phone number is 269 983 8417.

Bonnie continues to do well and has been told she will be released on Sat morning.

Ella was able to spend time with Justice and clearly is enthralled with him.

I am happy to report that both Bonnie and Justice are doing great!

Bonnie has been able to get up and about and has done a bit of walking even.  She’s back on solid food, and while sore, is feeling pretty chipper.

Justice is feeding well and is doing great. There are no known medical issues that he will have to face and he seem to be very strong and alert.

Ella, despite have a very hard night not having mom home, was able to get to touch her brother and very exited that both of them have ears, noses, foreheads and chins. She was simply aglow being able to help hold Justice.

We also had some friends come by and share in our joy.   In short, we continue to be very very blessed.

Sleeping Angel

There are three new albums up for today within the “Justice’s Second Day” album.
