The Goodwins

Ella is doing a bit better.  After several crying spells last night she’s doing better.  Her right eye is still swollen  shut but she’s starting to be able to see out of her left eye.

I left her, after several goodbye kisses and hugs, as seen in the picture to the right, watching Veggietales, eating bananas and juice.

Bonnie tells me she’s still in good spirits and has been playing like her normal self.

I’m back in the office dealing with crises, crisii?, multiple crisis-es?, well lets say multiple issues, but they seem a bit less dire for some reason.

Ah, life goes on….

Just waiting for Kirk to bring the car around and then we’re gone!

Ella had a pretty good night in the hospital but is still tired and cranky. She’s had some juice and cheerios but is otherwise against food so hopefully we can get a good meal when we get home. We are just waiting on her meds to be ready at the pharmacy and then we can head out.

Finally sleep has come for the kids. Please keep Ella and Bonnie in your prayers that they may have a restful night.

Ella is out of recovery and in short term. She is in isolation due to diarrhea. The good news is that means she gets a private room the bad news is that she could have a bug of some kind. It’s possible that it’s due to the antibiotic she received during surgery. So they are keeping an eye on her.

Of course this means we are definitely staying overnight.

Ella received Morphine after surgery so she’s still asleep.

We will update more when we know more.
